Every dollar donated to this fund will be used to purchase food for people in need.  Donations to this fund will be pooled and then granted strategically to the highest-functioning, front-line food support organizations; these will be limited to organizations that have the ability to secure the largest number of “meals per dollar.”

Every dollar donated to this fund will be used to purchase plant-based food for people in need.  Donations to this fund will be pooled and then strategically granted to high-functioning, front-line food support organizations.  Additional emphasis will be given to food sourced from the most sustainable food production methods, reduced supply-chain carbon footprints, and shorter transport distances.

Transparency and Donor Choice

It’s your choice.  We separated this administrative account from our charitable granting accounts (those that actually buy food) to give our donors complete control over how much of our charitable administration cost they wish to cover.  Our foundation was formed with the goal of keeping expenses below 5%, and then flowing any surplus from this fund to purchase additional food.  Raising funds for operating and system costs is quite difficult, so thank you for considering this way of investing in our future work!
